Dalata
When it comes to using art to create a new world, André Dalata knows exactly what to do. His work mixes abstraction and surrealism, always with a positive message. Using different techniques, Dalata is also known for his interventions with broken/forgotten places and with nature itself.
His career started back in 97, in Belo Horizonte, his city of birth and now his work is becoming famous all over the world. Besides the fact that Dalata is a great graffiti artist with a unique style, he also navigates in the music realm and is always interested in finding new ways to express himself artistically.

Dalata is one of the artists in residence at Heesterveld as a part of the R.U.A. Reflexo on Urban Art Project. Rua in Portuguese means street. The use of public spaces as a support for art is widely developed in Brazil, and because of its quality and beauty the view on graffiti changed: graffiti stops being seen as vandalism and becomes a genuine form of contemporary art. The participating graffiti writers are known for their work intervening in public space, but also for exhibitions in galleries all over the world.
